On Sunday 30th October we hosted our first Skate Jam at Winchester Skate Park and it really set the bar for future jams to come. It was a great turn out with skaters coming from all round the south coast including support from the guys at 14:01 skateboard co. and Camp Rubicon.
The evening started with a manny pad jam for the 14 and under who really came through! some serious young talent produced an exciting little comp which saw Stan and Milo both winning a ‘mini logo’ deck. We then moved onto a bowl jam for the older lot and this got real with the Clements brothers bringing the thunder, pulling out all the stops. Once everyone had had time to recover from the bowl we got them on the Stair set. The guys were throwing themselves down it left right and centre which treated us with jaw dropping tricks. Using the whole park for what its worth everyone had a chance to get involved, Highest Ollie, Longest ollie out the euro and ending the night with a huge (and crazy) texas death match, but it was the lucky few that left with a prize under their arm.
Thank you so much to everyone that came down! See you again for the next Jam!
